WATERLINE PROJECT UPDATE | SERVICE LINE WAIVERS
As work continues on the City’s waterline improvement project, Public Works employees have begun contacting property owners who qualify for a new service line to obtain the required waiver.
These waivers give short-term permission for contract crews to enter the property as needed to install a new service line or connect the existing service line to the new water main.
Public Works employees will be going door to door to meet with qualifying property owners, explain the waiver, answer questions, and obtain signatures.
Property owners who need to sign a waiver are encouraged to stop by City Hall during normal business hours. Someone will be available to go over the waiver with you and answer any questions.
If City Hall hours do not work with your schedule, you can also call 620-238-8519 or City Hall at 620-724-8918 to schedule an appointment.
Please remember:
- *The waiver must be signed by the property owner.
- *Waivers are only needed for properties that qualify for service line work.
- *Contract crews will begin connecting new service lines over the next several weeks, and this work will continue as the waterline project progresses.
The more property owners who are able to stop by City Hall or schedule an appointment, the more efficiently crews can keep the project moving.
