The City of Girard is accepting resumes and applications for a full-time Billing Clerk. Applicant must have outstanding computer and office equipment skills, exceptional public relations skills, detail oriented, and the ability to multi-task in a periodically fast-paced work environment. Duties include but are not limited to: maintaining customer accounts, processing utility bills and posting payments, daily reconciliation and other clerical duties assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s Degree preferred. Great benefit package. Salary DOE. The City of Girard is soliciting a highly motivated individual for a full time position as a police officer. This position enforces all federal, state, local laws and ordinances, performs patrol duties, enforces traffic laws, and investigates crimes and accidents. State certified officers are preferred, however basic academy (KLETC) will be provided. This candidate should possess excellent communication, public relations, and organizational skills. The city offers a generous benefits package including KP&F retirement, paid vacation/sick leave and paid holidays. The City of Girard is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).

Requirements: Applicants must be 21 years of age, and have above average writing and verbal skills, have a high school diploma or equivalent, college preferred but not required, no felony convictions and disqualifying criminal history, possess a valid drivers license with no recent record of suspension or revocation of driver’s license and vision correctable to 20/20. Successful candidates must pass an oral interview, psychological examination, drug and alcohol screen, criminal history background check and additional conditional job testing. Work schedule requires weekend, holiday, midnight/rotating shift work, overtime, and court appearances.

No more public access to the brush/limb pile.

Announcement:
The limb/brush pile located at the west end of the cemetery will remain locked at all times. The public will not be allowed to dump their leaves and limbs.
We will continue to have limb pick up on the third Tuesday of the month. Call 620-724-8918 to be put on the list.
