One concern that the city wants everyone to be aware of is when the new towers come on line they expect the water pressure to be better than before and in that regard some older lines both public and private may develop leaks. Everyone should check occasionally for leaky pipes and faucets after the new towers are built and in operation which should be about this time next year (June 2015).
Everyone should make sure there is a master service shut off valve for the water service in their home and where it is located just in case of an emergency. It could take some time for city crews to arrive to turn of service at the meter if there is a leak. Just a reminder that it is illegal for anyone to tamper with water meters, including turning on and off service at the meter.
